It is possible to have lifting, filler, and Botox treatments all in Seoul on the same day. But the convenience of “one visit” does not necessarily mean greater safety or cost efficiency. For travelers, the most important question is not the order of treatments, but whether there will be enough time to determine what is causing overlapping swelling and to be seen again before departure.

International consensus recommendations consider botulinum toxin and filler suitable for administration on the same day, while recommending that energy-based devices such as microfocused ultrasound be scheduled before injections.[1] A subsequent consensus also suggested that when light- or energy-based treatments and hyaluronic acid filler are combined on the same day, the energy-based treatment should come first and skin manipulation should be minimized after filler.[2]

Why does a same-day combination treatment turn the schedule into part of the treatment plan?

Filler changes shape and volume, botulinum toxin reduces movement in specific muscles, and lifting devices deliver heat or ultrasound energy. Their goals and response times differ. Having all three on the same day may allow recovery to happen just once, but overlapping swelling, bruising, and pain can lead to overestimating the need for the next treatment.

A recent review noted that evidence on simultaneous treatment with lasers, energy-based devices, and botulinum toxin is limited, and described the practical approach of generally avoiding same-day combinations or performing the energy-based treatment first.[3] “Possible” and “recommended for everyone” are different statements.

What kind of estimate should you request before booking?

Ask for an itemized estimate rather than a single total. The device name and number of shots or energy plan, the filler product and volume, the botulinum toxin product and treatment areas, and the costs of anesthesia, medication, and follow-up care should be listed separately. Even if a package price is low, its actual value may be limited if it includes areas you do not need.

If you need an English consultation, clarify at the booking stage the scope of the doctor’s consultation and interpretation services. Confirm whether the interpreter only explains the consent form, whether they are present during the procedure, and whether photo consultations are available after you return home. Medical Korea’s search for registered medical institutions that attract foreign patients is a starting point for confirming a hospital’s official registration, but it is not a ranking that guarantees the quality of individual procedures.[4]

How should you plan your stay in Seoul and your departure date?

If it is your first visit, do not book all three treatments immediately after arriving. Sleep deprivation, alcohol consumption, and swelling after a long-haul flight can affect facial assessment. Separate the consultation and treatment days, and leave at least one buffer day after combined treatment when an in-person or photographic reassessment is possible.

Before departure, obtain the product label or treatment record, injection sites and amounts, a summary of the device settings, the expected range of normal swelling, and an emergency contact number. Sudden severe pain after filler, skin that becomes white or mottled, or changes in vision are not signs to ask about after returning home; they require immediate assessment.

When should same-day treatments be divided across different days?

Q. Is it okay to combine all three treatments if it is my first time?

Even if it is possible, separating them makes assessment easier. Since you do not yet know how your face will swell or recover, observing the results after the one or two highest-priority treatments before deciding on the next step can help reduce overtreatment.

Q. Wouldn’t a package be better if I want to save money?

Compare the unit prices and the cancellation and change policies. Although combining treatments on the same day may reduce airfare and accommodation costs, the total cost can rise if it results in unnecessary product volume or additional follow-up care.

DERME VERDICT

A good medical-travel itinerary has blank spaces in it. Leave time for reassessment between the consultation and treatment, and between combined treatment and departure. Confirm whether the device treatment or injections should come first, and secure an itemized estimate, treatment records in English, and a contact route for aftercare once you return home. Only then does “having everything done in one day in Seoul” become more than convenient—it becomes a manageable choice.
